When you go up the curved stone steps to the upstairs, you will find:
The house has direct access from both the kitchen and the lounge to our large garden with koi pond. The garden is at the edge of the village, right on the ramparts, with a great view over the rampart walls to the valley and hillsides, peaceful farms with cows & sheep and grapevines. There is a table for al fresco meals, and lots of chairs and benches to get the best views. There is a pavilion with a comfy L-shaped couch & chairs, situated next to the koi pond.
The garden is filled with climbing roses, peonies, lilies, hollyhocks, tulips and hydrangeas. There's always something blooming! And the koi pond offers tranquility and peace, watching the fish lazily swim through the water.
A perfect spot to enjoy a glass of Burgundy wine!

On the ground floor, the house has:
- A kitchen (created in December 2013) with a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, oven, induction cooktop, range hood and deep sink. There is a kitchen island, an antique buffet with hutch and an armoire stocked with dishes, glasses, pots & pans and silverware, everything you need to make and serve a gourmet meal! An antique table and 6 sunny yellow chairs are in the kitchen, too. There is a WC with toilet and small sink under the stairs, in our "Harry Potter" WC.
- A second primary suite, the Biblioteque (Library) bedroom with a queen bed, dressing table, large, non-working fireplace (it has a heater insert) and an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, toilet and vessel sink in an antique cabinet.
- A lounge area with a desk, and comfy chairs and tables.
- A new (Aug 2018) bathroom with a shower, toilet and washer & dryer, and a wet rock sauna.
When you go up the curved stone steps to the upstairs, you will find:
- The primary bedroom, Rempart bedroom, has a queen-sized bed, dressing table, mirrored armoire,and a window seat overlooking the beautiful valley, a large fireplace, an ensuite with a washroom with a deep soaking tub/shower combination, a vessel sink in an antique washstand and a towel warmer. There is a new full-length screened door with a Juliette balcony that opens to views overlooking the garden and the valley. This bedroom has a separate toilet room with its own small sink.
- The third bedroom, Convent bedroom--one wall is made of doors sourced from a 19th century convent--can be made up with two twin beds, or they can easily be joined to form a queen-sized bed. There is a lovely full-length screened door with a Juliette balcony for garden and valley views in this room also. This bedroom can use the "Harry Potter" WC, and then they have the downstairs bathroom off the lounge as their private bathroom.
